• Opening Weekend and Happy Easter

  Welcome back to Chestnut Lake as we celebrate opening weekend and Easter! On Saturday, make an Easter craft at 10 a.m., then take pictures with the Easter Bunny at noon. The Easter egg hunt begins at 1 p.m., followed by making a Peep house at 3 p.m. On Sunday morning, stop by for coffee and Danish at 9 a.m.

  Welcome back to another great camping season at Chestnut Lake! Friday evening begins with Candy Bar Bingo at 6 p.m., followed by an adult dart competition at 9 p.m. On Saturday, create a spring snow globe at 11 a.m., take a nature hike at 1 p.m., and build your own birdhouse at 3 p.m.

• Family Weekend

  Bring the whole crew for Family Weekend! Friday evening starts with Family Bingo at 6 p.m. On Saturday, decorate your own chef hat at 11 a.m., then join the Kids & Parents cooking activity together at 1 p.m. At 3 p.m., work together on a Kids & Parents craft to make a tea light lantern. The day wraps up with a fun game of Family Feud at 6 p.m.

• Earth Day Weekend

  Celebrate nature and the environment during Earth Day Weekend! Friday begins with a kids' craft at 6 p.m. to make an egg carton wreath, followed by an adult mosaic picture frame craft at 8 p.m. Saturday starts with making a birdseed ornament at 10 a.m., followed by planting a tree at noon. At 2 p.m., create "Layers of the Earth" pudding cups, then explore the campground during a nature scavenger hunt at 4 p.m. Wrap up the day with a cornhole competition at 5 p.m.

• Cinco de Mayo Weekend

  Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a weekend of festive fun! Friday at 6 p.m., kids can make their own musical instrument, followed by an adult dart competition at 9 p.m. Saturday begins at 11 a.m. with a pinata-making craft, then search the campground during the sombrero hunt at 1 p.m. At 3 p.m., join us to make fresh salsa before gathering for our Cinco de Mayo fiesta at 5 p.m. - bring a dish to share for our community feast. At 7 p.m., enjoy breaking pinatas with fun for both kids and adults. On Sunday, we'll hold the Chestnut Lake community meeting at 10:30 a.m.

• Mother's Day Weekend

  05/08/2026 –05/10/2026

  Celebrate Mom all weekend long! Friday begins with a kids' craft at 6 p.m., followed by the Chestnut Lake Paint & Sip event at 7 p.m. ($25 per person). On Saturday, create a special Mother's Day gift at 11 a.m., then make Mom a tasty snack at 1 p.m. Join in the fun at 3 p.m. for the Mom vs. Kids challenge and test your knowledge during "How Well Do You Know Your Mom?" at 5 p.m. Wrap up the evening with Chestnut Lake Bingo with Mom at 8 p.m. On Sunday morning, enjoy coffee and Danish together at 10 a.m.
  

• Chopped Competition Weekend

  Join us Friday night for Mystery Box Bingo at 7 p.m., followed by an adult dart competition at 9 p.m. Saturday starts at 10 a.m. with Chopped ingredient pickup, then at 11 a.m. campers can design their own apron. The Kids Can Cook Challenge begins at 1 p.m., with judging for the Chopped competition at 4 p.m. Test your skills in the cornhole competition at 5 p.m., then relax with a movie in the Rec Hall at 7 p.m. On Sunday, wrap up the weekend with a kids' craft at 10 a.m.

• Memorial Day Weekend

  Join us as we kick off summer and honor Memorial Day at Chestnut Lake! Friday begins with the pool opening at noon, followed by a flag ceremony at 6 p.m. and a patriotic craft at 7 p.m. On Saturday, help raise the flag at 9 a.m., then decorate the campground at 10 a.m. Kids can enjoy a craft at 11 a.m., followed by tie-dye at 1 p.m. (bring a T-shirt). Line up for the golf cart and bike parade at 3 p.m., then compete in the horseshoe competition at 5 p.m. End the night with a movie under the stars at 9 p.m. Sunday continues the fun with a sidewalk chalk mural at 11 a.m., hot dogs at the pool at noon, snow cones at 2 p.m., a patriotic dog parade at 3 p.m., musical chairs at 4 p.m., and music from the Chestnut Lake DJ at 6 p.m. Wrap up the weekend Monday morning with coffee and Danish at 9 a.m.

• Super Hero Weekend

  Calling all heroes! Friday evening begins at 7 p.m. with a craft to make a thank-you for our lifesavers, followed by an adult pool tournament at 9 p.m. Saturday starts at 10 a.m. as we honor our first responders with coffee and Danish. At 11 a.m., join the fun during a family kickball game - parents vs. kids. At noon, create a firetruck snack, then paint a rock at 1 p.m. to leave somewhere in the campground. Cool off by making your own popsicle at 3 p.m., and wrap up the day with the Lucky Duck Hunt at 6 p.m.

• Race Weekend

  06/05/2026 –06/07/2026

  Start your engines for Race Weekend! Friday features Hot Wheels Bingo at 7 p.m., followed by Adult Mystery Bingo at 9 p.m. Saturday begins with Kids Can Cook - Week 1 at 10 a.m., then build your own race car track at noon. Join the Hot Wheels scavenger hunt at 2 p.m. and test your engineering skills by building a balloon-powered car at 4 p.m. At 6 p.m., gather for a community tailgate party. Sunday starts with the Chestnut Lake Community Meeting at 10:30 a.m., followed by a family mini golf competition at noon.

• Kick Off to Summer

  Start the summer season with a weekend of fun! Friday evening begins with Ice Cream Bingo at 7 p.m., followed by an adult dart competition at 9 p.m. Saturday starts with kids' swim at 9 a.m., then Kids Can Cook - Week 2 at 11 a.m. At 1 p.m., the fire truck arrives at the campground, followed by Water Wagon Wars at 3 p.m. Adults can enjoy an adult-only swim at 7 p.m. On Sunday, celebrate campers' birthdays from January through June with cake at 10 a.m., then join the water games at noon.

• Father's Day Weekend

  Celebrate Dad with a weekend of family fun! Friday begins with kids' games in the pool at 6 p.m., followed by adult swim at 8 p.m. On Saturday, Kids Can Cook - Week 3 starts at 10 a.m., then treat Dad to pizza at the pool at noon. At 1 p.m., join a round of Gellyball before heading out for the mini fishing tournament with Dad at 4 p.m. The evening wraps up with music from the Chestnut Lake DJ at 6 p.m. On Sunday, enjoy an ice cream social at 1 p.m.

• Teen Weekend

  Calling all teens for a weekend just for you! Friday begins with pizza and a movie at 8:30 p.m. for ages 12 and up. On Saturday, Kids Can Cook - Week 4 starts at 10 a.m., followed by a teen cornhole challenge at 1 p.m. Test your skills in the free throw contest at 4 p.m., then enjoy teen swim from 6-8 p.m. The evening continues with a teen pool tournament at 9 p.m. Sunday features popcorn making at 11 a.m. and cotton candy making at 1 p.m.

• Fourth of July Weekend

  Celebrate Independence Day all weekend long! On Friday, site decorating begins and we'll start collecting donations for Toys for Tots. Kids can enjoy swim time at 7 p.m., followed by adult swim at 8 p.m. Saturday brings a carnival at 11 a.m., then line up for our golf cart and bike parade at 4 p.m. Test your skills in the cornhole competition at 6 p.m. Sunday starts with Kids Can Cook - Week 5 at 10 a.m., followed by the site decorating winners announced at 11 a.m. and an ice cream social at 1 p.m.

• Wet & Wild Weekend

  Enjoy a splash-filled weekend at Chestnut Lake! Friday evening begins with a kids' popcorn bar and movie at 8 p.m. On Saturday, Kids Can Cook - Week 7 starts at 10 a.m., followed by a hula hoop competition at noon and a watermelon eating contest at 1 p.m. Join the scavenger hunt at 3 p.m., then compete in the "White Dinner" competition at 5 p.m. The evening continues with Family Feud at 7 p.m. On Sunday, join us for the Chestnut Lake Community Meeting at 10:30 a.m.

• Christmas in July

  Celebrate the magic of Christmas in the middle of summer! Friday kicks off with site decorating throughout the campground, followed by an Elf on the Shelf scavenger hunt at 6 p.m. and a showing of The Polar Express at 8 p.m. On Saturday, Kids Can Cook - Week 8 begins at 10 a.m., followed by decorating the community Christmas tree at noon. Write letters to Santa at 1 p.m., take pictures with Santa at 2 p.m., and enjoy a "Let It Snow" snowball fight at 3 p.m. Site decorating winners will be announced at 4 p.m. At 6 p.m., bring cookies to exchange before hopping on a wagon ride through the Christmas wonderland at 8 p.m. On Sunday, cool off with snow cones at 1 p.m.

• Happy New Year

  Ring in the New Year with a full weekend of celebration! Friday evening begins with New Year's Eve ball decorating at 7 p.m., followed by Scratch-Off Bingo at 8:30 p.m. On Saturday, Kids Can Cook - Week 9 starts at 10 a.m., followed by making a countdown clock at noon. Try the cotton ball challenge at 1 p.m., play the Jingle in the Trunk game at 3 p.m., and create a time capsule at 5 p.m. Kids can celebrate early during the Kids' New Year's Eve party from 7-9 p.m., while adults enjoy an appetizer party from 9-11 p.m. On Sunday, join a kids' nature walk at 11 a.m.

• Chestnut Lake Car Show Weekend

  Car enthusiasts won't want to miss this exciting weekend! Friday begins at 6 p.m. with a craft to make a wooden race car, followed by an adult dart competition at 8 p.m. Saturday features the Chestnut Lake Car Show from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Kids Can Cook - Week 11 begins at 10 a.m., and kids can vote for their favorite car at noon. Enjoy music from the Chestnut Lake DJ at 1 p.m., meet the drivers and collect signatures at 2 p.m., then join the scavenger hunt at 3 p.m. Trophy presentations begin at 3:30 p.m. The evening continues with adult karaoke in the lounge at 7 p.m. On Sunday, celebrate birthdays for July through December with cake at 10 a.m.

  Celebrate prom season with a fun weekend at the campground! Friday begins at 6 p.m. by making a duct tape corsage, followed by decorating the Rec Hall at 8 p.m. On Saturday, Kids Can Cook - Graduation Celebration starts at 10 a.m., then join a game of kickball at noon. Pass the Prize begins at 2 p.m., followed by crafts at 4 p.m. Get dressed up for prom from 7-10 p.m. in the Rec Hall. On Sunday, join the Chestnut Lake Community Meeting at 10:30 a.m.

• Back to School Weekend

  Get ready to head back to school with a fun weekend of activities! Friday begins with Back-to-School Bingo at 6 p.m., followed by an adult pool tournament at 9 p.m. On Saturday, the Back-to-School Triathlon begins at 11 a.m., with winners announced at 4 p.m.

• Labor Day Weekend

  09/04/2026 –09/07/2026

  Celebrate the holiday weekend with a full lineup of activities at the campground. Friday evening begins with Candy Bar Bingo at 7 p.m., followed by Adult Scratch-Off Bingo at 8 p.m. Saturday features a craft and community yard sale from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., along with Bubble Mania at 10 a.m. Join us at noon to make applesauce, then hop on a wagon ride at 3 p.m. The cornhole competition begins at 6 p.m. with a $10 entry fee. Sunday starts with fishing tournament registration at 8:30 a.m., with the tournament running from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Later in the day, enjoy hot dogs at the pool at 1 p.m. and a chocolate tug-of-war at 3 p.m. Monday morning wraps up the weekend with coffee and Danish at 9 a.m.

  Join us for a weekend of games leading up to our delicious chili competition! Friday begins with Yahtzee at 6 p.m. On Saturday, enjoy a life-size Monopoly game at 10 a.m., followed by Jenga at noon. Capture the Flag begins at 3 p.m., and the Chili Cook-Off contest starts at 5 p.m. Stick around for a movie with ice cream at 7 p.m.

  Celebrate friendship and gratitude during our Friendsgiving weekend! Friday night begins with Family Bingo at 7 p.m. On Saturday, enjoy a Thanksgiving craft at 11 a.m., followed by our community Thanksgiving dinner at 5 p.m. The evening continues with music and fun during the Chestnut Lake DJ party at 6 p.m.

  Celebrate another spooky Halloween weekend! The fun begins Friday at 6 p.m. with a wagon ride to plant the pumpkin seeds. On Saturday, take a wagon ride to the Pumpkin Patch at noon, then enjoy pumpkin painting at 1:30 p.m. Show off your best costume during the costume contest at 3 p.m., followed by trick-or-treating around the campground at 4 p.m. The evening wraps up with a Halloween party at 6 p.m.

• Halloween Weekend #2

  Halloween fun is on at Chestnut Lake! Friday evening begins with a wagon ride at 6 p.m. to plant the pumpkin seeds and kick off the weekend. On Saturday, hop on the wagon at 12 p.m. for a ride to the Pumpkin Patch, then join us for pumpkin painting at 1:30 p.m. Show off your best costume during the costume contest at 3 p.m., followed by trick-or-treating around the campground at 4 p.m. The evening wraps up with a Halloween party at 6 p.m. for a festive end to the day.

  Join your fellow campers Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for the Chestnut Lake Community Meeting as we gather to discuss the season and help keep our campground looking its best.

• Closing Weekend

  10/23/2026 –10/25/2026

  As the camping season comes to a close, please help us wrap up the campground and support our community. Bring any non-expired, non-perishable food items to the Welcome Center for donation to the Community Church - last year we collected 18 bags of food. Closing time is 12 p.m. on October 25, 2026, with no exceptions. Campfires are not permitted on October 25, and all campers must disconnect water, electric, and septic before departure. Thank you for a wonderful season at Chestnut Lake - we look forward to seeing you again in the spring!
